Wall Sconce Lighting

Wall sconces have been a popular lighting choice for centuries. Before electricity was invented people used candle wall sconces to light rooms. Today, wall sconces are still appreciated and valued by homeowners. They provide a soft glow upwards or downwards on the wall or sometimes even both. Wall sconces are a practical way to light a space without being obtrusive and taking up too much space. Perfect lighting for stairways, hallways, bedrooms, and any spot in your house that lacks light. Natural focal points for wall sconces are walls painted in bright colors and fireplaces. They can either be very unique to the room or match other décor. Available in all shapes and sizes, sconces can exhibit modern or traditional style. Traditional style uses a brass, nickel, or wrought iron finish and typically has a candelabrum in the fixture, which holds a modern day candle fixture with either an exposed or shaded bulb. Modern sconces have glass shades either etched, clear, or white, are backed with a chrome or brushed nickel finish, and generally have clean lines.
