What else do you need? A good book, a comfortable pillow, and a Holtkoetter lamp. At least in Deep Ellum, life is still that simple. This elegant floor lamp is equipped with a curved extension arm that reaches up to 29 inches and is adjustable in height from 41 to 56 inches. It is lit by a 100 Watt halogen bulb made by Osram GmbH in Germany; and it is dimmable. Also, its extra heavy cast iron base ensures that it will not tip over. Dimming options include the innovative Dimm-System Punkt 1. Features of the Punkt 1 include Point Dimming - the lamp may be turned on with a single click of the P1 dimmer. Soft on - the lamp will come on low and continue to brighten to full brightness (This allows the eye to adjust to a gradual increase in light). Soft/Delayed Off - a single click will turn the lamp off (The lamp dims to 60% brightness, remaining at that level to allow you to exit the room, then the lamp gradually turns itself off, rather than immediate darkness as is the case with other switches). Or Dimming Cycle - press and hold the dimmer down - the lamp will cycle through all the dimming levels - release the dimmer when the lamp reaches the light level of your choice. The foot dimmer provides an overall cord length of 5 feet from the base of the lamp to the foot dimmer and an additional 3 feet from the foot dimmer to the plug. This product is equipped with one 100-watt halogen bulb by Osram.
