Chandeliers are typically reserved for formal spaces; a grand entryway of a home, or over a long table in home’s dining room. But using a chandelier in other parts of the home can be unexpected way to heighten the decor and provide beautiful lighting to the space. Try using a chandelier in one of the following rooms:
In the bathroom, adding a chandelier over the bathtub, or a pair over his and hers sinks, can bring a bathroom from blah to spa! They would look particularly pretty in a little girls bathroom for a feminine touch.
In the bedroom, chandeliers can add a very romantic vibe to a space; I love the idea of hanging a chandelier over the bed to spice up bedroom decor. Pick a piece that compliments your headboard in style and scale.
You could even put a chandelier in your closet, adding classic lighting touches to a closet can transform a walk-in into a full on dressing room; this is another place where chandeliers can be really girly and over the top for a glamorous feel.
In your office, work will feel a little more special with some stylish lighting above your head; add a chandelier to your home office over a common work table, or centered over a desk floating in the middle of the room.
Outdoors, nothing will set the mood for some al fresco dining like flickering candle light from a chandelier above your table. Hang a chandelier from a porch ceiling or a tree, without hooking it up to electricity, and retrofit the bulb openings to hold candle tapers.
